From our family's farm to your family's table

Sarah and Erin are North Saskatchewan dreamers (and farmers) who first connected over excitement and dreams of raising all the animals and growing all the foods they could get their hands on.

Having grown up on a grain farm, Sarah recently moved back home to join in the operation. Sarah's grandmother had gifted her an old grain mill and over the last two years Sarah has really enjoyed learning and experimenting with fresh grains in the kitchen and coincidentally, Erin had also been experimenting with making sourdough bread. As this connection was made, the girls quickly started sharing notes and making messes in each other's kitchens. Both recognizing the taste difference and learning the nutritional value that comes with fresh, whole grains made it the perfect place to start.

It's no secret that most of what you see on the shelves is very different than what you get direct from the farm. We believe that whole foods sourced closer to home can positively impact the health of our community and soils in ways that are both nutritious, and economical.

We are so excited to share more on how we can all get the most out of our own backyards as we aspire to bring nutrient dense foods to your table.

Meet Erin!

Erin is originally from Alberta but is now immersed in the Saskatchewan Dairy Farming life where she raises livestock with her fiancé Paul and his parents and works full time for an Ag Consulting Group. Having grown up in the city, she found her love for farming later in life and her 10 year journey has ignited a passion for ethically sourced goods and community access. Regenerative Agriculture is their jam. You can normally find her doing chores in the barn and working alongside Paul in all their ventures to improve their land and animals. If she’s not there though, then she’s likely baking sourdough bread!

Meet Sarah!

Sarah and her husband Blair, have 3 kids, a dozen chickens, a couple of horses and a family jersey cow that she happily milks by hand every day. Having grown up on her family’s grain farm, she has 20+ years of experience in growing, harvesting and cooking with a variety of produce and whole grains, and now has dreams of self sufficiency on their little homestead. Her love for locally sourced, scratch-made meals has expanded into her ever-growing garden where you will find her and her family working together to bring variety to her community every year.

While evolution is key, Living Sky Farms will always stay firmly planted in their commitment to developing healthy soils so that our crops, animals and people consume nutrient-rich diets that are produced out their back door. Our practices and partners are on the same journey of Regenerative Agriculture focused on letting nature take the lead.

We hope you are just as excited as us. We can’t wait to dig in with you!
