Flaxseed is our very own, prairie grown superfood! There is so much research out there now, proving the many benefits that we can gain by adding flax into our diet. Things like OMEGA-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, fibre and other lignans/antioxidants are abundant in these beautiful little golden seeds.
Try adding them whole into your favourite baking recipes for a little texture, or throw them in a food processor (coffee bean grinders work really well too) and add 1 Tbsp of flax meal to your smoothie, or into your fresh squeezed OJ. However you prefer, golden flax is an extremely versatile addition to almost anything!
