Oatmeal Porridge

Oatmeal Porridge

One of the most frequently asked questions we get about our Flaked Oats is, ‘do they cook the same as other oats’? Always, our answer is YES! And with porridge being so common, we thought we’d give you a foundation recipe to reference.
Growing up, my mom taught me to cook porridge based on how it ‘feels’ when you stir the pot. Adding oatmeal was never something I had measured or thought about; rather, I just added until I felt that certain level of resistance when stirring. Because of this, it’s taken a little longer for me to narrow down the ratios, but nonetheless, we have a surefire recipe now!
